Appointment Tips

 

Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment with a fresh clarified, detangled and dry, wash and go style.  Late appointments may need to be canceled or rescheduled at the stylist's discretion. Clients that arrive with hair that is not to these preparations may incur additional detangling fees or sometimes may need to be canceled or rescheduled. We want you to have the best experience and to ensure that we have the time to give your hair what it needs. Please call us before your appointment if you have additional questions on preparing your hair. 

Hair Detox

A hair detox (or hair clarifying) is highly recommended at least 2 weeks prior to your scheduled appointment if you are using products that are heavy laden with butters, oils (coconut oil), or plastics. Hair that has Cantu, Shea Moisture, Ecostyler gel, or similar brands in it may require an upcharge to clarify at the time of your appointment. It is vital to clarify your hair prior to your appointment if you are using those products. Use a curly hair friendly sulfate-free clarifying cleanser like DevaCurl® Build Up Buster to help you detox your hair to get the best results from your curl education. 

The Wash and Go Step by Step Styling Process

  1. Wash hair with sulfate free cleanser. Favorites: DevaCurl® Low Poo, DevaCurl® No Poo, Jessicurl® Gentle Lather DevaCurl® Build Up Buster

  2. Apply silicone free conditioner. Favorites: DevaCurl® One Condition, DevaCurl® Heaven In Hair Intensive Moisture Treatment, Jessicurl® Aloeba Daily Conditioner

  3. Apply a silicone free + minimal oil or oil free styling product with hold. Favorites: DevaCurl® Supercream or Styling Cream, DevaCurl® Ultra Defining Gel, DevaCurl® Arc Angel, DevaCurl Frizz Free Volumizing Foam, Jessicurl Spiralicious

Appointment Confirmations and Cancellation Policy

With booking your appointment through Vagaro, please pay attention to the information that you provide when creating your profile. It is highly recommended to provide your best contact cellular number and a personal (not work) email. You will receive a confirmation text and email from Vagaro for your scheduled appointment day.  Vagaro will first notify you to confirm your scheduled appointment day 72 hours and then the last 36 hours before your scheduled appointment day. If you confirm your scheduled appointment day on either of those reminders Vagaro will note that your appointment has been confirmed by you. Please Note: IT IS IMPORTANT TO CONFIRM YOUR APPOINTMENT DAY. If you have NOT CONFIRMED your scheduled appointment day by the time the last 24 hours, your appointment will be canceled as it was not confirmed by you so that we may offer that appointment slot to another client.  All new clients are required to provide a credit card at the time of booking to secure your requested appointment time. The credit card is not charged ahead of the appointment. We charge a $50 cancellation fee in the case that guests cancel less than 24 hours prior to their appointment or no show. For special color correction services or others that may require significant amounts of time, deposits may be required at the discretion of the stylist. After repeated canceled or no show appointments, deposits may be required at the discretion of the stylist and/or future appointment requests may be declined.
